Richard - Tammy and the Bachelor (1957) - Funny thing: this movie - titled simply
"Tammy" here in the U.K.- was something of a flop when it was first released in this
country. Then some D.J.or other latched on to the title song as sung by the sadly
missed Debby Reynolds exactly as in the movie and it became a hit.
Universal then re- issued this film and this time it was a great success! I was about
sixteen when I saw it and loved it.
But who would have guessed what was in store for Leslie Neilsen....

Greg - Tammy and the Bachelor (1957) - An excellent movie, a sweet, sweet story,
well told, well done, well executed. Debbie Reynolds's performance is stunning; as
are the performances of Leslie Nielsen and all the main characters. The musical score
is beautiful; the sets (settings) are beautiful. A real Hollywood gem. I would consider
it a movie classic.

Alisa - Tammy and the Bachelor (1957) - I've enjoyed this movie so many times. I
grew up with her father who was in the show, the real mccoys.What makes me watch
it time and again, is the gentle, simplified life,,unlike today's movies, where sex
and violence and profanity lead the masses. Isn't it strange, that the old time shows,
like I love Lucy and the Honeymooners never needed, sex, profanity, or violence...yet
pure comedy...simplified, and you could, laugh and enjoy every show. Tammy brings
the peaceful past back to our present mania.
