Dave - Thank you Dan for many evenings of enjoyment. We love the old movies as family
entertainment as there is no bad language (pre 1960) and we love non-fiction war
movies. Keep up the great work.

Frank - Waltzes from Vienna (1934) - "Strauss Great Waltz" features, of course, some

October 20, 2015 _ _
October 16, 2015 _ _
Sherri - Under Capricorn (1949) - I knew it would be good with Joseph Cotton and
Ingrid Bergman in the cast. They are excellent together. Really good ending.
October 15, 2015 _ _
Jeff - Sea Fury (1958) - Boy you can clearly see, old John Wayne’s sidekick captain
is poor in health. Too much boozin' and taking up a really bad script. Odd to see
a very young Robert Shaw well before Jaws. Some other notable actors playing this
movie too. One fella from Great Escape.
September 21, 2015 _ _
Milo - No Other Woman (1933) - Great movie with a rare theme; The importance of
marriage vows. If we honored our spouses as they do in this movie, the world would
be a better place.
September 8, 2015 _ _
Emma - The Snows of Kilimanjaro (1952) - This has got to be one of my favourite films,
but if there's something I always learn from it it's I never want to be the loser
second wife that ends up settling for a guy that doesn't even really love her. Does
she have no dignity?
September 6, 2015 _ _
Carol - Hoosier Schoolboy (1937) - Thank-you Dan. I have always liked Mickey Rooney
in any movie he played in.

for this fine old film.
July 5, 2015 _ __
Frank - New Mexico (1951) - Where did this gem come from? It is an early effort from
disaster film director Irwin Allen. The story of "New Mexico" is mostly factual,
told excitingly - no wasted moments and, no amateur acting. If you like thrills and
a good, good story - plus excellent performances, by all means visit, "New Mexico."
59 stars, at least.
July 2, 2015 _ __
Geo - Outpost in Morocco (1949) - Raft does von Stroheim. As an accurate historical
touch, his leave being denied for the lack of almost ANY officer with any experience,
was a huge problem for the French Legion at that time.
June 30, 2015 _ __
June 19, 2015 _ __
June 14, 2015 _ __
Frank - Murder on Lenox Avenue (1941) - "Murder On Lenox Avenue" is one of those
all black musicals from the early '40s -- a watchable, so-so item highlighted by
Mamie Smith, one of the great blues singers of the day. Problem: Not enough singing.
May 27, 2015 __
Frank - Girl O' My Dreams (1934) - "Girl O' My Dreams" is a grade-B gem that is fun
from the opening title to where it says 'The End." The cast of young college kids
are a hoot. They include 'Dagwood' and Sterling Holloway, twin chicks Nip and Tuck.
The track competition scenes are quite authentic. All in all, it is relaxing, enjoyable
fun.
May 7, 2015 __
Dean - Q Planes (1939) - Good old movie. Thanks Dan.
April 30, 2015 __
Frank - Telephone Operator (1937) - surprise - surprise. The operators and the linemen
are involved in this excellent romance-drama enhanced by newsreel footage. The stars
are A-1, and this flick will keep you interested and fascinated.
Stars? 10 of 'em.
April 27, 2015 __

Len - Raiders of Old California (1957) - Good movie, short ending, but we all know
what happened at bighorn.
January 26, 2015 _ __
Frank - Swing Hostess (1944) - "Swing Hostess" switches from a lot of fun to hilarious
with an outstanding cast of characters. The star,Martha Tilton, sang with most of
the big bands -a great voice and 'screen' presence. Knock yourself out and watch
this fun-fun flick with very good Harold Arlen songs.
January 22, 2015 _ __
Ron - Ten Wanted Men (1955) - Great movie with good morals, thanks.
January 19, 2015 _ __
Frank - Machine Gun Mama (1944) - The title has nothing to do with the movie - weird.
Hilarious, it ain't but, delightful it is thanks mainly to the lovely Armida. PS
- My father used to work for PRC - but not in Brooklyn.
January 18, 2015 _ __
Theresa - Road to Happiness (1942) - Well worth a watch. Togetherness through adversity.
January 3, 2015_________ __
Frank - Hi Diddle Diddle (1943) - Don't ask any questions - just hit the key for
"Hi Diddle Diddle" and enjoy the fun fest. A great cast of characters and, a wild,
fun ending almost beyond belief. Hilarious all the way.
December 21, 2014 _ __
Mikey - Hillbilly Blitzkrieg (1942) - I would like to suggest that in 1942 it was
meant to be insulting.
December 14, 2014 _ __
Frank - Hillbilly Blitzkrieg (1942) - There's an old saying that if you can't say
something nice, say nothing at all. So -about Hillbilly Blitzkieg" ------

A psycho thriller very well made.
November 10, 2014 _ __
Frank - Manhattan Tower (1932) - "Manhattan Tower" was a big, fat, happy surprise
involving a host of mostly money folks, with mostly money, and some romantic problems.
It was a lot of fun involving a lot of fine performers. Highly recommended.
November 9, 2014 _ __
Frank - Road to Happiness (1942) - For no reason, I picked "Road To Happiness" and,
let me tell you, it was the right road. Beautifully sentimental, complete with adorable
child and Jn. Boles. Want to shed a few tears, go on that road.
October 2, 2014 _ __
Frank - So's Your Aunt Emma! (1942) - "So's Your Aunt Emma" is delightful and fun.
Pitts is not the pits, she's a hoot. Roger Pryor is, as usual, just fine and the
two old ladies are a kick. Like grade-B fun? Watch this.
September 29, 2014 _ __
Jacko - Midnight (1934) - What a pleasant surprise! Obviously a bit slow and choppy
but I liked it very much. Justice was served in both cases or was it? A good effort
to show - illustrate the moral and compassionate sides of the applications of the
law instead of the "blind justice side".
September 16, 2014 _ __
Andree - British Intelligence (1940) - Karloff as excitingly sinister as ever, and
a clever yarn that keeps you guessing till the end: "does she or doesn't she?"
Another good movie!

Barrouse - Heartaches (1947) - Never seen Chil Wills in a serious part before in
this type of movie.
August 28, 2014 _ __
Frank - What Price Crime (1935) - Not bad, not bad at all. Some excitement, some
romance, some wisecracks. The star was Charles Starrett before he donned his cowboy
outfits. (I knew one of his sidekicks - Mustard). "What Price Crime" is a good little
quickee.
August 16, 2014 _ __
Dean - The Big Cat (1949) - Thank you Dan for this very good Western. It had a fine
plot and good acting. I liked that it acknowledged God and his blessings from the
Bible. Only the movies from T.B.N. now a days give reverence to God. Today's films
use his name as a curse word. I highly recommend this movie for watching.
August 15, 2014 _ __
Dean - Escape by Night (1937) - Thank you for this old movie. Dean Jagger later would
win an academy award. A great actor.
August 13, 2014 _ __
Dean - U 67 or The Sea Ghost (1931) - Thank you Dan for this movie. It had a good
plot and a lot of action. It ended well. Alan Hale was a very good actor. A real
leading man of old Hollywood. His son was the skipper on Gilligan's Island.
August 10, 2014 _ __
Frank - U 67 or The Sea Ghost (1931) - The Sea Ghost was interesting enough to keep

a good tale.
August 9, 2014 _ __

not disappointed.

Dean - A Man's Land (1932) - Thank you Dan for this fine old Western.
July 25, 2014 _ __
Dean - Crime, Inc. (1945) - Thank you Dan for this old film. The people producing
it,in my opinion made a few mistakes. Sheldon Leonard should have been the chairman
of Crime, Inc. The organization should have been Italians, not British, or business
men. It looks like Hollywood didn't want to offend the real Crime, Inc. Even so,
this movie is worth watching.
July 25, 2014 _ __

was well acted. I give this old film 2 thumbs up.It was well worth watching.
July 25, 2014 _ __
Dean - The Man with My Face (1951) - Thank you Dan for this movie. Barry Nelson did

in Saint Augustine, Florida. This movie is worth watching again.

Dean - Nightmare (1956) - Great movie! Thanks Dan. Kevin McCarthy and Edward G. Robinson
did a great job in this one. Both were superb actors.

Dean - Pillars of the Sky (1956) - Thank you Dan for this fine Western. It had a
